5 Star Amazon Review: 9 June 2011 An excellent release from The Blues Band. With the usual mix of old standards and self penned material they have delivered another album of blues which really makes you feel good. Again the charm and good natured personalities of the band members shines through in their music. Mixing it up a bit there are big, punchy arrangements alongside slow stripped back numbers, the change of pace is effective and makes for a very interesting album. The standout track to my ears are `I am the Blues' and `Mr. Estes Said', in which the band show a great knowledge of the blues oeuvre, as well as a great passion for the music. The tracks recount the history of the genre, and pay tribute to artists that inspired the band, in a very apt and hummable way.
