Hundred Seventy Split
Leo Lyons is best known as the legendary bassist and founder member of Ten Years After who took the Woodstock Festival by storm in 1969. Their appearance prefaced a worldwide touring schedule which lasted into the mid-70s as audiences responded to their jazzy Blues Rock. With eight Top 40 albums under their belt, many making platinum status, Lyons turned his attention to record production, engineering and songwriting, working with the likes of UFO, Magnum, Motörhead, and many more.
Ten Years After reformed in 2004 with Joe Gooch replacing the late, great Alvin Lee as vocalist/guitarist, and the band toured until 2010 when Leo and Joe left and, with the addition of drummer Damon Sawyer, formed Hundred Seventy Split. This dynamic three-piece power trio continue to make music which rocks right out of the Ten Years After box.
