Live At Carnegie Hall (Vinyl LP)
Renaissance are one of the most creative of all the UK art/prog rock groups that flourished in the 1970s, with many best-selling studio albums to their credit, such as the classics ‘Turn Of The Cards’, ‘Ashes Are Burning’ and ‘Scheherazade’, all featuring the superb vocals of Annie Haslam and the sophisticated melodies of guitarist Michael Dunford.
Another notable milestone was the ‘Live At Carnegie Hall’ set, first released in 1976. It was a high point of their career and crowned their popularity in America. This 2LP re-issue once again revisits and celebrates that superb concert they performed with the backing of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
The songs and arrangements span the period in the early 1970s, when they devised many of their best works, such as ‘Carpet Of The Sun’ and ‘Mother Russia’. In essence, this is a ‘Live Best Of’ Renaissance collection not to be missed.
Expertly remastered for LP – superb sound – top quality reproduction on 180g vinyl.
