Steve Jolliffe
“Steve Jolliffe is a musical genius, ignoring electronic music trends and always going his own way.”
In 1966 composer and multi-instrumentalist Steve Jolliffe formed the Joint with vocalist Rick Davies (later of Supertramp). After touring and working on a film in Lake Geneva, Steve left the group to study composition at the Konservatorium in Berlin.
In 1968 he formed Tangerine Dream with Edgar Froese and Klaus Schulze, and performed throughout Germany where the band’s pioneering electronic music enjoyed particular success.
Steve returned to England in 1969, recording and touring with prog Blues outfit Steamhammer, and later rejoined Tangerine Dream. Since 1979 Steve has recorded over 50 solo albums, including these three first released in the early 80s.
